Established in 1993, China Light Industry Productivity Promotion Center makes its own goals driving the scientific advancement and productivity increase of light industry enterprises, especially the HEA enterprises, by integrating government and social resources. Since its establishment, the center has combined vast resources to provide various derivative services to enterprises and become a bridge that links the government, scientific research institutions and enterprises. After many years of exploration and researches on the industry and the market, the center has cultivated a scale service system. It actively conducts services and helps enterprises to solve problems by taking its advantages on technology, talents, management, policy and information.

The center has three subordinate business departments, respectively on brand research, industrial design and intellectual property right management.

Brand Research: through its brand research laboratory, the Center conducts the evaluation researches on HEAs and the research and promotion of technical standard on high-end HEAs as well as helps enterprises to formulate individual brand strategies.

Industrial Design: the Center develops industrial design evaluation systems and actively introduces high-end design solutions from international industrial design companies; and taking its media advantages, the Center plays active roles in holding design trend forums, inviting international industrial design institutions and experts to participate various activities and design salons, making special columns and issues to display excellent industrial designs, and hence promoting the industrial design levels of the light industry as a whole.

Intellectual Property Right Protection: the Center has cooperated with related national agencies to help Chinese companies in coordinating independent brand and intellectual property protection across regions and performing activities on patent application, inquiry and protection; the Center also conducts active researches and establishes response mechanisms on intellectual property disputes concerning foreign parties.
