Light Industry Standardization Research Institute

Light Industry Standardization Research Institute takes charge of functions on light industry standardization management entrusted by China National Light Industry Council.
The business scope of Light Industry Standardization Research Institute covers the standardization management on 45 industries in the light industry.

I. Management Functions:

1. In charge of reviewing and submitting for approval: national standards on light industry (GB);
2. In charge of reviewing, archiving, editing and publishing: industrial standards for the light industry (QB);
3. In charge of managing the voting on ISO and IEC international standard light industry bills;
4. In charge of managing national military light industry standards (GJB);

II. Business Scope:

1. The consultation, formulation and revision of (national, industrial and entrepreneur) light industry standards;
2. Researches on light industry programs;
3. Dynamic maintenance on light industry standards and data bases (paper and electric versions), and provide inquiry and publication services;
4. The formulation (charts and words) of standards, and the guidance and review on materials submitted for approval;
5. The formulation, revision and review on basic standards by National Technical Committee on Standardization;
6. The review and acceptance of national basic standardization research programs.
