The Secretariat of National Technical Committee on Household Electric Appliances of Standardization Administration of China

National Technical Committee on Household Electric Appliances of Standardization Administration of China (SAC/TC46) is affiliated to CHEARI and its work undertaken by Standardization Center. The committee has under it 14 technical subcommittees which are responsible for the standard revision and formulation on their respective fields of refrigeration apparatus, cleaning apparatus, ventilation apparatus, kitchen apparatus, heating and ironing apparatus, beauty and other apparatus, commercial electric food processing device, household appliance wiring and installation, main accessories for HEAs, noise reduction for HEAs, HEA reliability, HEA service, and health and similar apparatus.

National Technical Committee on Household Electric Appliances of Standardization Administration of China is the secretariat unit for IEC/TC61/TC59 and their related technical subcommittees in China and takes charge of the voting issues on international standards, participating related international conferences and the revision and formulation of intentional standards in the field.

Main Tasks:

International Standardization: Participate in international standardization meeting, technical exchange, standard drafting and revision, technical research and opinion response on international standard draft and related technical document.
National Standardization: National and industry standard drafting and revision; review, approval, publicizing and training of new standards; review of the published national and industry standards; develop the household appliance standard system; identification and assessment of industry and enterprise standard level; keep record, editing and publishing of industry standards
Standardization researches: Research and early warning on technical trade measure of household appliance industry; export technical guidance on household appliances; the use of hazardous substances in household appliances and recycling of WEEE; comparison studies of domestic standards with international standards; investigation and analysis of the implementation of the issued national and industry standards
Training on standardization: Training on international, national and industry standards, training on the installers of room air-conditioners
Standardization consultation: Organize domestic and overseas experts and consultants to provide professional consulting services for household appliance companies; entrusted by certification bodies and companies, provide standardization services
Standardization related work: standard query and purchase, administration and distribution of standard files and documents
