China Household Electric Appliance Research Institute (CHEARI), established in 1965, is a central institution hosted by State-owned Assets Supervision and Administration Commission of the State Council and approved by the State Commission Office for Public Sector Reform. It is a key institution of scientific innovations and technical services in Chinas HEA industry, focusing on services of HEA researches, testing, certification, standardization, metering and calibration, media and training.

CHEARI is in possession of a scientific team comprised of 245 excellent industry experts and technical staff, including 12 experts entitled by special state allowances, 32 professorate senior engineers and doctorate researchers, 120 senior engineers and postgraduates.
